Ella’s New Friend, Finn the Fish

t fair to keep Finn all to herself. She took a deep breath and called over to Ben and Mia.

“Hey, come here! I want you to meet my friend Finn!” she said, smiling.

Ben and Mia hurried over, their faces lighting up with excitement. Ella pointed to Finn in the water, and he gave a joyful wiggle, blowing even more bubbles as he saw new friends.

“Hi, Finn!” said Ben, laughing as he splashed the water gently. Mia waved and said, “He’s so cute, Ella! I’m so glad you shared him with us!”

The three of them played by the lake with Finn, taking turns splashing and watching him twirl and wiggle. They even found some bread crumbs and tossed them into the water for Finn to nibble on.

As the sun began to set, Ella felt a warm, happy feeling inside. She realized that sharing Finn with her cousins had made the day even more special. She wasn’t just happy to have a friend—she was happy to see her friends and family enjoying Finn too.

“Thank you for sharing, Ella,” Mia said as they packed up to leave. “Finn is the best fish friend ever!”

Ella smiled, giving the lake one last look as she waved goodbye to Finn. “Goodbye, Finn! I’ll come back to visit soon!” she called out.

Finn gave one last joyful wiggle before swimming deeper into the lake, his scales sparkling in the golden evening light.

And as Ella walked back with her family, she knew she had learned something wonderful: friendship was even more special when it was shared.
