The Sleepy Little Owl

In a cozy hollow nestled in the branches of a tall oak tree, lived a sleepy little owl named Oliver. With soft, downy feathers as white as snow and big, round eyes that blinked sleepily, Oliver spent his days snoozing in the shade of his leafy home.

One evening, as the stars began to twinkle in the sky, Oliver woke up from his nap feeling hungry. He stretched his wings and blinked his sleepy eyes, ready to go in search of a midnight snack.

But as Oliver prepared to take flight, he heard a soft rustling in the bushes below. Curious, he peered down and saw a family of mice scurrying about, gathering food for their own bedtime feast.

“Hello, little mice!” hooted Oliver softly. “What are you up to on this starry night?”

The mice looked up with surprise and replied, “We’re gathering food for our bedtime feast. Would you like to join us, Oliver?”

Delighted by the invitation, Oliver fluttered down from his perch and joined the mice in their midnight picnic. Together, they nibbled on berries and nuts, sharing stories and laughter under the moonlit sky.

As the night grew darker, Oliver’s eyelids began to droop, and he yawned a sleepy yawn. With full bellies and happy hearts, Oliver and his new friends bid each other goodnight and curled up in their cozy nests, drifting off to sleep beneath the twinkling stars.

And so, under the watchful gaze of the moon, the sleepy little owl and his new friends enjoyed a midnight feast to remember, grateful for the warmth of friendship and the beauty of the starry night sky.
